Dutch theory course · car (B) · in English

Learn the Dutch road rules. Know when you're ready.

Short lessons with diagrams, practice questions that explain the answer, and mock exams that work like the real CBR test: 50 questions in 30 minutes, and you pass with 44. The readiness meter shows what you already know and what still needs work.

Written in English for internationals in the Netherlands. Where the exam keeps a Dutch word, such as erf or voorrangsweg, you learn that word too.

Questions

Is this the full theory course?

Yes. Every topic of the Dutch car theory test is in it: rules, signs, priority, motorways, the car itself, hazard perception and driver assistance systems. Each chapter has practice questions, and the mock exams have 50 questions in 30 minutes.

Can I take the theory test in English?

Yes, the CBR offers the car theory test in English. A handful of Dutch terms stay Dutch even then, such as APK, erf and snorfiets. This course uses the same words, so nothing on the screen surprises you.

Are these CBR questions?

No. We write every lesson and question ourselves, based on Dutch law: the traffic rules and signs regulations (RVV 1990) and the official sign drawings (BABW). Each question shows where the rule comes from. We are not part of the CBR.

When am I ready for the test?

The readiness meter turns to "ready" once you get 80% right in every chapter and pass 3 mock exams in a row. That measures how well you know our practice material. It does not guarantee you will pass.

What is free?

The whole Priority chapter, the first lesson of every chapter and the 50-question starter test. Everything else comes with any pass, together with the 3D practice and the rides. See the passes.

Can I switch between English and Dutch?

Any time, with the NL / EN button at the top. Your progress is the same in both languages, so a question you answered in Dutch counts in English too.

Does the site remember my progress?

Yes, on this device. Log in and your progress is saved to your account, so you see it on your other device as well.
